Collectible Colour

Challenge: This long time treasure hunter of pottery, art and collectables wanted his new home to be modern and simple, yet warm and expressive.

Approach: Architectural wall details in the kitchen and around the fireplace created the simple framework to highlight details like a reclaimed railway tie that became the fireplace mantle, and custom dining room cabinetry housing cubbies to display a vintage rolling pin collection. Whimsical decorative lighting, graphic stainless steel tile and wide planked hardwood, give the charm needed to set the stage for the client’s vast and colourful collections.

Result: Simple lines, soft tones and textures allow for timeless style and modern living.
