Elegant Comfort
Challenge: A large 1960’s bungalow with simple lines and ample charm was in need of some light and refinement. The client wanted their spaces more open and useful, yet not so open that the deletion of walls meant less artwork. The décor was to be simple and comfortable.
Approach: We started with opening up the kitchen to the dining room and created a comfortable island for food prep and seating. The next focus was the hall, master bedroom and bathroom. These areas were also modified to allow for more storage and airy atmosphere. Thoughtful details like glass cabinetry facing the dining room, antique mirrored doors and custom cut marble tile, were all facets of this update integral to the distinctive, yet relaxed home. Custom millwork in the office and sophisticated furnishings were the final touches that brought this home the character it needed.
Result: Timeless style, personality and a place for relaxed family gatherings.
